Hasp 2.17 Driver 2012 [EXCLUSIVE]

I have just purchased a Toshiba Laptop with an intel i7-3610QM processor running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and XP Mode. I have an Aladdin USB HASP dongle for my sign software (Signlab e6.1) I have been trying to attach. I downloaded the latest drivers from safenet-inc.com for Win 7 64 bit and installed them. When I plug it in, the red LED lights up and The USB drop down tab in XP Mode lists HASP 2.17 with "Attach" beside it. But when I click "Attach', a window pops up titled "Windows XP Mode - Windows Virtual PC" and it reads: "Could not attach the USB device. You can attach the device to a different USB port or restart the virtual machine and try again." I have done that with all 4 USB ports with no luck. I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers, even the Virtualization Hub and Bus in Device Manager. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled XP Mode. No luck. In Win 7 I can go to Device Manager and they show up under USB controllers as SafeNet Inc USB Key and Safenet Inc HASP Key. IN XP Mode, even though it is listed in The USB tab on the desktop, they are not listed in Device Manager. If this will help, I have the same software installed on another Toshiba Laptop with an i3 M330 processor, Win7 Professional 64 bit, XP Mode and it all works great. The only difference I can see is the HASP driver files in the i3's XP Mode are older (5.19) than in Win7 (6.25). I have also re-installed XP Mode and installed the older 5.19 driver, trying to duplicate the environment in the i3 laptop, but the same result!! Any suggestions on why XP Mode won't see them? HELP!!!!

To install, re-install or update the drivers, go to the folder with the software installation files > Hasp folder.Right-click and run (as administrator): reinstall_hasp_run_as_admin.bat Note: The file haspdinst.exe must be present, in the same folder.

Since Windows Vista, drivers for "any" USB device are automatically installed from Windows Update when the USB device is plugged in with the machine connected to the Internet. There was a specific release of the Cadence License Manager installer for Windows 8 and Server 2012 since the .NET Framework version changed to 4.5 only as an installed default and previous license manager installers would not complete correctly - this would not have affected the dongle driver installation unless the machine was not connected to the Internet when the USB dongle was attached. 350c69d7ab
